كلمة سعود بن صقر في افتتاح قمة رأس الخيمة للطاقة | Saud bin Saqr speech at RAK Energy Summit 2024
ألقى صاحب السمو الشيخ سعود بن صقر القاسمي، عضو المجلس الأعلى، حاكم رأس الخيمة، كلمة رئيسية في افتتاح قمة رأس الخيمة للطاقة 2024، التي نظمتها دائرة بلدية رأس الخيمة يومي 27 و28 نوفمبر الماضي في مركز الحمرا الدولي للمعارض والمؤتمرات في رأس الخيمة، تحت شعار "ابتكر وساهم في أهداف الطاقة المستدامة للمستقبل" بمشاركة عدد من الحضور البارزين وصناع القرار والخبراء الإقليميين من دولة الإمارات والعالم.
وقال سموه في كلمته خلال افتتاح القمة: "الطاقة هي شريان الحياة ومحرك الاقتصاد، ومن دونها تتوقف عجلة التقدم والازدهار لذا، ندرك أن بناء مستقبل قائم على طاقة موثوقة، ومستدامة، ومتاحة للجميع ليس خياراً، بل ركيزة لمواصلة مسيرة التنمية".
وأضاف سموه "نضع في رأس الخيمة الاستدامة في صميم رؤيتنا المستقبلية، وندرك أن الطاقة ركيزة أساسية لتحقيق التنمية الشاملة والازدهار، لذا، نطمح لأن نساهم بشكل فاعل في الجهود الدولية الرامية إلى صياغة مستقبل مستدام للطاقة".
وتعد قمة رأس الخيمة للطاقة مبادرة مهمة لتعزيز الحوار حول تحول الطاقة في المنطقة، وتهدف إلى تحفيز التعاون بين رواد الفكر وصناع القرار الدوليين في مجال الطاقة المستدامة، حيث جرى خلالها تسليط الضوء على خطط رأس الخيمة الخاصة بتحول الطاقة ومناقشات مثمرة حول سبل تحول الطاقة على مستوى المدن والتنقل المستدام، والوقود المستقبلي، والشبكات المستقبلية، وإزالة الكربون من الصناعات التي يصعب تقليص انبعاثاتها، واختتمت القمة بجلسات الطاولة المستديرة.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, delivered a keynote speech at the opening of the Ras Al Khaimah Energy Summit 2024. The Summit was organized by RAK Municipality on November 27 and 28 at the Al Hamra International Exhibition and Conference Center in Ras Al Khaimah, under the theme “Create and Contribute to the sustainable energy goals of the future” and with the participation of a number of prominent officials, decision-makers and experts from the UAE and around the world.
In his opening address, HH Sheikh Saud said: “Energy is central to our lives and our economy and, without it, we can neither survive nor thrive. It is, therefore, imperative that we build a future where energy is readily available, reliable, affordable, and crucially, sustainable.
“In Ras Al Khaimah, we place sustainability at the heart of our vision, and we recognize that energy is the essential enabler for achieving comprehensive development and prosperity. Therefore, we aspire to contribute effectively to international efforts to shape the future of sustainable energy.”
The RAK Energy Summit is an important initiative to promote dialogue on energy transition in the region and aims to foster cooperation between international thought leaders and decision-makers in the field of sustainable energy.
The Summit highlighted Ras Al Khaimah’s energy transition plans, inspiring fruitful discussions on energy sector reforms in cities, sustainable mobility, future fuels, future grids and decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries, concluding with several roundtable sessions.
